I wrote Imaginary Friends between 2002 and 2004, having changed my working hours to a four-day week to allow
more time for my writing. I’ve worked on novel-length projects before, but this was the first time I really felt one had a
chance out in the world. Having re-read it recently, prior to making it available here, it remains the work of which
I’m most proud.
